ASSOCITAION PROFILE
ALL PAKISTAN P.V.C. PIPE MANUFACTURER’S ASSOCIATION
1.The name of the Association is ‘ALL PAKISTAN P.V.C. PIPE
MANUFACTURER’S ASSOCIATION.
2.The Registered Officer of the Association shall be situated in Lahore.
3.The area of operation of the Association will be whole of Pakistan.
4.The objects for which the Association is incorporated are:
OBJECTS
(a) To protect, promote, aid, encourage and develop P.V.C Pipes Industry throughout Pakistan.
(b) To encourage, promote, inculcate and foster, spirit of friendliness, unity and co-operation and cordial business and trade relations and dealings among persons engaged in the manufacture , trade and business of P.V.C. Pipes.
(c) To encourage manufacture of pipes to specific internationally accepted standards and to educate the public in the selection and use of standard quality Pipes with particular reference to the quality of P.V.C. used in the manufacture of such P.V.C. Pipes.
(d) To ensure for members, grant of adequate Import Licenses, permits, quotas etc. for basic raw material, spare parts, equipments, capital goods etc. required by them.
(e) To encourage and promote experimental and research works for the benefit of members and to assist and cooperate with the Government in that behalf.
(f) To arrange for the proper display and marketing of the articles manufactured by members of the Association.
(g) To become member and cooperate with the institution or institutions, having objects similar to those of this Association, and to seek affiliations with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
(h) To establish branches and sub-committees in Karachi /Lahore and other important towns of Pakistan, and to define functions of such branches and sub-committees and make rules and regulations therefore, and to delegate or withdraw powers to and from them as may be deemed fit from time to time.
(i) To arrange for and encourage training of technical personnel in the interest of P.V.C. industry as and when practicable.
(j) To arrange for adequate financing of the members on suitable terms and conditions, if possible.
(k) To regulate prices, arrange pools, establish trust and to frame Rules and Regulations in respect of business of the members.
(l) To borrow or raise money for the purpose of Association upon such terms and conditions and on such securities as may be determined by the General Body of the Association to be reasonable, and in particular by mortgage, charge or lien or by issue of debentures charged upon all or any of the properties of the Association.
(m) To secure and accept subscriptions, donations, subsidies, gifts, endowments and properties and generally to obtain money and property for the objects of the Association, and to invest, apply or deal with the same in such manner as may be deemed expedient.
(n) To assist members in all possible legal ways ordinarily, and particularly when their business, interest or trade is affected prejudiced or jeopardized.
(o) To settle the trade disputes and or arbitrate between the members and to enforce the awards and decisions of the arbitration upon the disputants.
(p) To manage and provide convenient premises and facilities to the members for carrying on trade and business.
(q) To suggest, promote or oppose legislative and other measures bearing upon P.V.C. Pipes Industry and to obtain changes and improvement of any laws, tariffs affecting the industry.
(r) To collect useful information and statistics and to supply the same to the members of the Association or to the Government or to others who are concerned.
(s) To obtain sanctions, privileges, advantages, relief, co-operation etc. from any authority in the interest of the P.V.C. Pipes Industry.
(t) To accept, draw, endorse and execute, cheques, bills of exchange, promissory notes and other negotiable instruments.
(u) To acquire, buy, sell, take or lease, construct or dispose of lands; buildings and other articles and properties in the best interest of the Association.
(v) To incur necessary expenses (including preliminary expenditure) and to invest the money of the Association on any enterprise, for the benefit of the members as a whole provided that the money so invest is not immediately required by the Association.
(w) To publish a journal at the appropriate time and distribute literature concerning fasteners and allied industry.
(x) To establish and maintain a library for the members when possible.
(y) To do all such lawful things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of all or any of the above object.
5. The income and property of the Association shall be applied solely towards the promotion of the objects of the Association as set forth in the Memorandum of the Association and no portion thereof shall be paid, transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividend or bonus or otherwise howsoever by way of profit to persons who at any time have been members of the Association or to any person claiming through them.
PROVIDED that nothing herein contained shall prevent the payment in good faith of remuneration or allowances to any officers or servant of the Association or to any member thereof or other person in return for any services actually rendered to the Association, or other payment of interest on money borrowed from any person or any member or members.
6. Paragraphs 5 & 10 of this Memorandum are conditions on which a license is granted by the Government of Pakistan to the Association in pursuance of Section 3 of Trade Organizations Ordinance, 1961 (XVL of 1961).
7. The liability of the members is limited, but if any member in contravention of clause 5 thereof has acquired any profit or bonus, his liability shall be unlimited.
8. Every Member of the Association undertakes to contribute to the assets of the Association in the event of its being wound up while he is a member, or within one year afterwards for payment of debts and liabilities of the Association contracted before he ceases to be a member and the costs, charges and PVC manufacturers Association. Was established in 1983 Lahore based.
In 1999 All Pakistan PVC Pipe Association was approved and licensed by ministry of Commerce and Registered with the Register of Companies (DTO)
MANAGEMENT
Chairman is elected every year by open balloting voters one the benefited members of APPMA.
Members executive committee one selected with the mutual consent of Chairman and V.Chairmans.
